We are a community of faith and service welcoming new friends and longtime neighbors
Welcome from Fr. Gil
Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here is our motto. More than that, it is our mission. We strive to open our hearts in welcome to all who seek to meet Christ in everyday life.
Pope Francis calls the church a “field hospital,” challenging all of us to give priority to the wounded. This means placing the needs of others before our own. The very concept of a “field hospital church” triggers the imagination, forcing us to rethink our identity and our life together as disciples of Jesus Christ, and it is the heart of Christian community.
We are a Paulist parish, inspired by the vision of Servant of God, Father Isaac Hecker. Our roots in Los Angeles are deep: We were founded to minister to the entertainment business and continue to be open to the world of today.
Everything we do here in our church and parish school seeks to build such a community, given life by the Gospel.
Come and join us on the greatest journey in life, the journey of faith! You are welcome here!

Our mission
Bringing peace, seeking unity, and reaching out
Our mission is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by living out our faith in worship, service, and support of one another.
We celebrate the gift of Jesus by growing in our faith and living out the mission of Servant of God Father Isaac Hecker and the Paulist Fathers.
Here’s how this translates into action:
We bring peace
We believe peace begins in our hearts. Our vibrant Eucharistic celebrations bring people together. The quiet time between services provides a sacred space for individuals to meditate, to mourn, to escape the stresses of everyday life.
We promote unity
We actively support the Paulist Communion Project seeking to transcend polarization in the Catholic Church. We respect political and ideological diversity, and we set aside our differences to join together at the table of the Lord.
We reach out to neighbors
We host concerts and other community events, welcoming all who come to enjoy the music and the camaraderie. We also co-sponsor joint events with neighboring churches and temples, on our campus and those of our neighbors.
