Admission Process for Developmental Kindergarten

Our application process is online. The entire application will be submitted electronically.  Applications are available starting on Monday, October 23, 2017.

Applications will remain open for the entire school year; however, completed applications that are submitted prior to December 15, 2017 will receive priority scheduling for testing and interviews.

 

Age Requirement

Students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2018.

 

Application Requirements

Each application will consist of an online questionnaire, a set of required documents to be uploaded, a preschool evaluation form, and a non-refundable application fee.  An application will not be complete until all are submitted.

Required documents to upload include: *

  1. Photograph of your child
  2. Photograph of your family
  3. Legal Birth Certificate (No hospital certificates)
  4. Baptismal Certificate
  5. Separated or Divorced Parents and Legal Guardians: You must include a court-certified copy of the Custody section of the Divorce or Separation Decree.

Application Fee (non-refundable):

  • $60 — submitted mid-October to December 31, 2017
  • $100 — submitted on or after January 1, 2018

Once your completed application has been received, you will be contacted to schedule dates for testing and an interview.

 

Readiness Program

Each child applying to our developmental kindergarten will participate in the Readiness Program.  The Readiness Program is a testing protocol to assess readiness for Developmental Kindergarten.  It is administered by our School Psychologist, Kindergarten Teachers, and Administrators.  Testing dates are January 6, 2018 or January 20, 2018.  Testing will be completed on one of these two Saturdays on campus.

 

Interview

For new families to the school and/or parish, following the Readiness Program, you will be asked to schedule an interview with our Principal, Mr. Richard Billups.  Families with current students may also schedule an interview with Mr. Billups upon request.  Families will be contacted beginning in mid-December regarding appointment times.  All communication will be sent via email, therefore, please advise the registrar of any changes in your contact information.

Acceptances are processed in the following order:

  • Siblings of current students
  • Registered parishioners/Catholics
  • Non-Catholics

 

Notification of acceptance or wait list status for DK applicants will be mailed in early March 2018. Applications for Grades 1 – 8 will be available starting on October 23, 2017 (please see Admission Process for Grades 1-8 for details).
