School Board
Mission Statement
The School Board at St. Paul the Apostle School is a body representative of the school community dedicated to support the philosophy and mission of the school. The board acts as a resource to the Principal, providing advice on matters of finance and school policy. It helps strengthen the present and secure the future well-being of the school as a provider of quality Catholic education.

School Board Meetings
In the past year, the School Board has created various subcommittees to explore such issues as disaster preparedness and school security. As needs arise, the School Board is always open to addressing new issues. School Board meetings are open to any school parent or church parishioner who would like to attend. The meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm in the faculty dining room. The School Board meets nine times during the school year. There are no meetings during the summer months and no meeting in December.

Membership
Membership is open to any school parent or church parishioner who is able to attend monthly meetings and willing to possibly participate in subcommittees. Membership is determined by a subcommittee comprised of three School Board members and two members of the school community. The School Board is currently comprised of nine voting members and eight non-voting members. Nominations for membership are accepted in April. The nominees are requested to provide a cover letter outlining their interest in membership and information about their background and qualifications. The membership committee meets in May and then presents its recommendations to the Board at the May meeting. The Board votes on the nominees and then they are notified about the outcome. School Board members are appointed for a three year term which is renewable for a second term.
