The Paulist Choristers of California, founded in 1977 by Jon Wattenbarger, have toured the world and are known for their outstanding performances. Over the years, the group has had the privilege of working with some of the best names in music.
Under the current direction of Artistic Director, Luke McEndarfer, the Choir has appeared with Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Opera, Music Angelica Baroque Orchestra and a stunning roster of top soloists.
Drawing from St. Paul the Apostle School as well as the surrounding neighborhood community, the Choristers performed at the world premiere performance of the Lord of the Rings Symphony at the Hollywood Bowl, with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and John Maurceri, conductor.
The Paulist Choristers are well known not just for their excellent performances but for their substantial outreach endeavors with the Los Angeles community. Despite rigorous concert preparations, the group takes time doing multiple performances for the elderly and at children’s hospitals.
