National Children's Chorus

National Children's Chorus

Steeped in the history and tradition of music making at the top level for more than one hundred years, the Paulist Choristers ensemble embarks on a new journey, changing its iconic brand name in favor of one that is far more inclusive: the National Children’s Chorus. The new program, which will maintain the discipline and excellence of its former self, will feature an increased focus on education, schooling its students in the areas of music theory, history, appreciation and movement, as well as a newly designed curriculum of courses that will include conducting, composition, ear training, and the Kodály method.

In continuing the tradition of the Paulist Choristers, the National Children’s Chorus will strongly pursue professional collaborations with the top music companies in both Los Angeles and New York, including the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Opera Company, at such prestigious venues as UCLA’s Royce Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and Lincoln Center. Through this coordinated effort, the new National Children’s Chorus aims to offer an unparalleled level of quality and an unprecedented portfolio of musical experiences for
young musicians as they begin their own journeys in the pursuit of artistic excellence and professional success.
