Children's Initiation is a liturgical and educational experience of growing in faith for children, eight years of age and older, who have not yet been baptized or were baptized but never made their First Communion.
The children, accompanied by their parents, learn what it means to be young Catholics. They are prepared for baptism, First Reconciliation & First Communion in an age appropriate way that draws on the spiritual experience they already have and by providing them with the foundations of the Catholic faith upon which they can grow.
The RCIA for Children meets twice a month after the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass with components each time for the children AND their parents. For more information contact our CCD Director, Mrs. Irene Holly at: iholly@sp-apostle.org or call her at 310-689-6212.
