Seniors

St. Paul the Apostle Seniors Ministry provides seniors in our parish with opportunities for spiritual growth, social connections, and community service.  Programs include Book Club and Partners in Prayer, as well as seasonal retreats, monthly lecture lunches, and tours.  We also offer information on community resources for seniors.

Activities and programs include:

  • Advent Series — “Where do we find Jesus?”
  • Wednesday, November 30th 10:30 – 12 noon in the Multi-purpose room.  Discussion by Rev. Eric Andrews, C.S.P.  Followed by a light lunch.
  • Thursday, December 8th 10:30 – 12 noon in the Church.  Mass for Immaculate Conception and reflection by Rev. Paul Rospond, C.S.P. Followed by lunch as guests of the PWC in the Upper Social Hall.
  • Wednesday, December 14th 10:30 – 12 noon in the Multi-purpose room.  Discussion by Rev. Ted Vierra, C.S.P.  Followed by a light lunch.
    • No charge for the series — a $5.00 donation is suggested for the light lunch.  Let us know whether you will be attending the lecture and lunch.  For information and reservations, call Agnes at 310-837-4697.
  • Book Club – the next meeting will be on Friday, December 2nd in the Multi-purpose room from 9:00 – 10:30 am.  Join us for stimulating and thoughtful discussion of current bestsellers and classics.  For this meeting, the members have chosen to read Wives and Daughters, by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell.  New members are welcome.  For information, call Mary at 310-398-7930.
  • Social Group – meets in the Multi-purpose room, from 12 noon- 2:30 pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.  Come join us Monday, November 21, for lively conversation, friendship, refreshments, and more as we play Bingo.  New members are welcome.  For information, call Eva at 310-837-4197.
