Baptism for Elementary School-Age Children

To have a child baptized at St. Paul’s the parent(s) must be registered in the parish and regularly attend Sunday Mass.

Children who are older than First Communion recipients have begun forming questions and ideas about faith due to their personal experience of worship, talking with friends and observing their own family’s spiritual practices. Because this is the case, we honor that experience and seek to engage the child at their own level of faith development as they prepare for baptism.

We invite these children and their parent(s) to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation Adapted for Children. For more information about this process of faith development, visit our RCIA for Children page. You may also contact Irene Holly at 310-689-6212 or via e-mail iholly@sp-apostle.org.
