From the Desk of Mr. Richard Billups, Principal

Zig Ziglar said, “You don`t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”  That`s exactly what we have done today.  While there are still a few bells and whistles and final touches to apply to our classrooms, new buildings, and technology, we did get started and are off to a wonderful beginning for the 2014-2015 school year.  It was great to see so many of you on campus this morning and I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to each classroom to say hello to all the students.  I`m currently looking across my desk at a stack of letters from students and parents and I can`t wait to begin reading them.  And don`t worry, I haven`t forgotten my homework assignment.  I`m also learning the ropes and as soon as I`ve figured it out, I`ll have my letter posted to the PWC site!

With such a great turnout today, I`m hoping to see an even better one this Sunday, September 5th at the special 10:00am Mass to celebrate and bless the new facilities.  Bishop Clark will be our celebrant and I know everyone is excited to recognize all of the time, talent, and treasure that went into its completion.

I`d like to leave you today with the prayer that was read to our students to start the new year: God of wisdom and might, we praise you for the wonder of our being, for mind, body, and spirit.  Be with our children as they begin a new school year.  Bless them and their teachers and staff. Give them strength and grace as their bodies grow; wisdom and knowledge to their minds as they search for understanding; and peace and zeal to their hearts.”

God bless,

Mr. Richard Billups
